The “USSEC Intestinal and Respiratory Health in Poultry” training organized by USSEC at Izmir Hyatt Regency Hotel on March 19-21, 2025 was completed today.
In this meeting, organized with the guidance of experienced experts from Vetworks and Poulpharm from Belgium and sponsored by USSEC, where 15 field veterinarians and agricultural engineers from leading companies in our sector participated, information was provided on intestinal health and respiratory disorders and solution suggestions were explained.
In addition, detailed information was provided on vaccination techniques, diagnostic tools, correct sampling for each disease and how to prepare an effective monitoring program. On the second day of the program, how to follow a path in disease diagnosis was demonstrated with necroscopy studies in Ceren Laboratories.
In this short-term special course, the following topics were also covered one by one.
* Digestive intestinal tract in poultry, its shape, function and flora
* Necrotic bacterial enteritis
* Coccidiosis and prevention solutions, treatment and applicable anticoccidial programs
* Coccidiosis in breeders and long-living birds,
* Viral enteritis
* Broiler management and early feeding concepts, relationship between feeding and intestinal health
* Growth factors and alternative solutions
* Probiotics and their importance in poultry feeding
* Biosecurity on farms
* Mycoplasma, IB
* Vaccination practices
After the program, participants were given a test on the topics covered during the 3 days and course certificates were presented to those who were successful.
