Soy Connext 2025, the flagship event of the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), was held in Washington, D.C. Attended by international trade delegations from 34 countries and 59 different trade groups, the meeting once again highlighted the role of the American soybean industry in the global market.
Highlights throughout the event included the changing dynamics of global trade, the advantages offered by American soybean products, and the importance of personal connections in business relationships. Experts emphasized that U.S. soybeans have the potential for steady growth in the coming years due to the increasing demand for food and calories.
Farm and industry visits conducted as part of Soy Connext offered participants the opportunity to witness firsthand the transparency and sustainability of the US soybean supply chain. Nutritional-rich soybean meal, along with its contributions to animal health and producer profitability, were among the factors that distinguish American soybean products in the global market.
USSEC CEO Jim Sutter emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Global diversification is not a future reality, but a reality of today.” He emphasized that the lasting connections established internationally are crucial to the sector’s success.
Turkey participated in the event, led by Sırrı Kayhan, the USSEC Turkey representative. The Turkish team examined the quality and sustainability advantages offered by American soy products in the field, held direct meetings with industry representatives, and established important contacts for future trade collaborations.
The American soybean industry continues to respond to growing demand in the global food and feed markets with a vision focused on innovation and sustainability.
