The Soy Excellence Center’s (SEC) Global Advisory Panel (GAP) and Regional Advisory Council (RAC) held the third and final installment of the “Feed Formulation Lab” series in Bengaluru, India, on April 3-4, 2025. The two-day intensive training program focused on continuing education and professional development in the animal feed and human food sectors, aiming to develop future leaders.
Opening remarks for the event were delivered by representatives of the American Soybean Exporters Council (SEC) and the American Soybean Export Council (USSEC). Speakers included SEC Chairman Mark Read, SEC Vice Chairman Anne Meis, SEC GAP Member and Michigan Soybean Committee Member David Williams, USSEC Regional Director for South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa Kevin Roepke, USSEC Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa Brent Babb, and SEC Focus Area Advisor Kellie Gypin.
The lab brought together members of the Regional Advisory Board and emerging women leaders in the poultry industry.
A total of 46 participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on animal nutrition and digital formulation tools. At the event, USSEC Turkey representative Sırrı Kayhan and expert Kemal Burak Kayhan presented practical modules on software-based formulation techniques to the participants. Participants experienced how US Soybean can be used as a formulation input in the market preparation process with different exercises.

At the end of the event, all participants received a certificate of completion. In addition, participants gained access to future training, rewards and development opportunities by becoming members of the SEC Digital Community.
