The Innovation to Market (I2M) Working Group meeting held in the US on January 29-30 was led by the American Soybean Association (ASA). The meeting was also attended by Randy Miller, Director of the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and Iowa soybean farmer. The meeting, which brought together technology providers, biotechnology and chemical companies and producers operating in the soybean sector, discussed new products that will shape the sector, commercialization processes and regulatory challenges encountered.
Miller received detailed information from important companies in the biotechnology and chemical sector, including USSEC members, about new products planned to be launched in the upcoming period. At the same time, he was informed about the research and collaboration projects conducted by the United Soybean Board (USB), and USSEC’s views on the challenges encountered in the acceptance of new products in the global market were also discussed.
Another important name attending the meeting was Lyndsey Erb, Director of USSEC Industry Relations. Erb made a presentation on developments in crop protection and biotechnology at the international level, drawing attention to the effects of global regulatory processes on the sector.
The I2M Working Group consists of seed and pesticide producers, as well as leaders from USSEC, ASA, USB and state-level soybean organizations. The main goal of the group is to accelerate the integration of innovative agricultural technologies into the market and to provide producers with sustainable, efficient solutions. This meeting, which evaluates the latest developments in the sector, is of great importance for the future of the soybean industry.
