Board of Directors

The U.S. Soybean Export Council’s Board of Directors is comprised of 16 members.

Four members are from the American Soybean Association (ASA), four members are from the United Soybean Board (USB), and seven seats represent trade, allied industry, and state organizations.

Lance Rezac

PRESIDENT

United Soybean Board
Onaga, Kansas

Lance grows soybeans, corn, wheat, alfalfa, native hay, brome, sorghum and hay near Onaga, Kansas. He raises cattle with his wife, Debra, and his sister, son, daughter and nephew. At Rezac Land and Livestock, they prioritize doing better with the resources they have. Lance holds a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Kansas State University. This is his eighth year on the United Soybean Board and he serves on the Audit and Assessment Committees and the Claims Action Team in the Innovation and Technology priority area and has served on the Audit and Assessment Committee. In addition to his work with USSEC, Lance is also involved in the Onaga Lions Club, Kansas Soybean Association and Kansas Soybean Commission. In his spare time, he enjoys vacationing in the Caribbean. Lance and his wife, Debra, have three children and four grandchildren.

Janna Fritz

Bad Axe, Michigan

Janna and her husband Joel produce soybeans, corn, wheat and dry edible beans on their sixth-generation family farm in Michigan. She also serves as President of DF Seeds. Prior to this role, Janna was the CEO of the Michigan Soybean Committee and the Michigan Soybean Association. She holds a BS in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communication from Michigan State University and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University. She has served on a variety of boards, including the American Soybean Association, National Corn Growers Association, Michigan Farm Bureau, U.S. Grains Council, Michigan FFA Foundation and the Michigan Corn Growers Association.

Joel Schreurs

Tyler, Minnesota

Joel is a farmer near Tyler in southwest Minnesota. Over the years, his family has raised cattle, sheep, corn, soybeans and alfalfa. As the farming operation grew, it expanded into a grain operation growing soybeans and corn. Like many Midwestern farmers, Joel and his family work hard to preserve and protect the land they farm while providing their customers with a safe, quality product. Joel keeps in mind that consumers want to know where their food comes from (both in the U.S. and abroad) and that farms are working responsibly to protect the land. In addition to his role with USSEC, Joel serves as a director of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association. Prior to his role as Allied Subclass director, Joel represented the American Soybean Association on the USSEC board of directors.

John Buboltz

Wayzata, Minnesota

John is Cargill’s North America Soybean Processing Manager. He has over 25 years of experience in the grain and oilseed industry and has been with Cargill since 2000. John began his career at Cargill, working in a variety of wheat trading, marketing and risk management roles at flour milling joint venture Horizon Milling. In 2011, he moved to the Cargill Agriculture Supply Chain (CASC) platform as Hard Red Winter Wheat Product Line Manager and in 2013 he transferred to Winnipeg, Canada to assume the role of BU Risk Management Leader. In 2016, he returned to Minneapolis as North America Oilseed Product Line Leader, managing Cargill’s soybean export and origin program, and in 2018 he moved to the crushing bench to manage Cargill’s North American soybean processing business.

Mike McCranie

BOARD DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Claremont, South Dakota

Mike is a fourth-generation soybean and corn farmer near Claremont, South Dakota. He farms with his wife Monica and sons Matthew and Mitchell. They practice sustainable practices that help improve the soil. He plans to pass it on to the next generation better than he received it. This is Mike’s fourth year on the United Soybean Board. He serves on the Demand Action Team in the Infrastructure and Connectivity priority area. Mike is very active in his community. He has been a member of the South Dakota Soybean Association, American Soybean Association, South Dakota Corn Growers Association, Farmers Union and Farm Bureau. Mike serves his local church, as well as many other agriculture-related organizations.

Tony Hill

DIRECTOR – US SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Decatur, Illinois

Tony joined ADM after graduating from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has spent the last 15 years working at multiple ADM locations and in a variety of marketing, commercial management and risk management roles. He currently serves as ADM’s US Bulk Soybean Export Commercial Manager. Tony resides in Forsyth, Illinois with his wife Megan and their three children, Harrison, Riley and Caroline. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and coaching little league baseball.

Shawn Hulm

DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Viterra
Omaha, Nebraska

Shawn is the Oilseed Product Line Manager for Viterra in Omaha, Nebraska, managing the company’s overall North American oilseed positions and trading in export markets. Shawn has been with Gavilon/Viterra for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked for ADM for 11 years. Shawn holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He resides in Omaha with his wife and two sons.

Mike Koehne

DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Greensburg, Indiana

Mike is a first-generation farmer in southeastern Indiana. He and his wife, Jill, farm with their children, Rebecca, Luke, Logan and Caroline. They grow market-specific products such as high oleic soybeans and soybeans that are shipped by container to Japan and Taiwan. They grow corn for dry millers in Japan and for the Kentucky bourbon market. They also raise cattle and raise hay. The Koehne family currently owns a farm drainage operation that they have operated for about 20 years. Previously, they owned and operated a livestock trucking company for 19 years. Mike is also involved in the Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Land Improvement Contractors Association.

Randy Miller

BOARD DIRECTOR – US SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Lacona, Iowa

Randy farms with his wife, Sheila, and their two children. They grow soybeans and corn and operate a cow-calf operation in central Iowa. Randy has been a farmer for nearly 30 years and plants cover crops to support soil health and uses many other conservation practices. He values ​​the connections he makes by exporting soybeans to various trading partners. In addition to serving on the USSEC, Randy is a board member of the Iowa Soybean Association, the Warren County Fair Board, and the First Assembly Church of Indianola. He is a past member of the South-Central Cooperative Board and a county 4-H Youth Council leader.

Craig Pietig

DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Agricultural Processing, Inc.

Omaha, Nebraska

Craig is the Vice President of Ag Products at Ag Processing Inc. (AGP), where he has worked for 14 years. After graduating from Iowa State University, Craig purchased soybeans and sold soybean meal at various plant locations before moving to Omaha. In his current role, Craig focuses on exporting grains, soybean meal, and distillers’ dried grains with solubles (DDGS) from Grays Harbor to Southeast Asia.

Cindy Pulskamp

Hillsboro, North Dakota

Cindy grows soybeans, wheat and sugar beets in North Dakota. She farms full time with her husband, Neal, on a family farm that has been around for over 100 years. They have been farming together for over 20 years. Cindy has a background in fertilizer and seed sales management. She worked in the agricultural industry for many years before starting farming. Cindy holds a master’s degree in management, a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an associate’s degree in accounting. She is currently in her third year at the United Soybean Board, serving on the Demand Action Team in the Innovation and Technology priority area.

Tori Sorensen

BOARD DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

Grimes, Iowa

Tori has over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications roles in the agricultural industry. She is passionate about global food security and the agricultural industry. Tori spent the last six years as the Director of Marketing for Insta-Pro Intl. She grew up on a row crop farm in southeastern Iowa and earned her degree from the University of Iowa. Tori has received two Clarion Awards for her work in communications, is a former Board Member of the Association for Women in Communications, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Iowa Donor Network. She currently resides in the Des Moines area of ​​metro Iowa with her husband Chris and son CJ. Tori represents the Allied Class on the Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the Soybean Center of Excellence Committee and Co-Chair of the Animal and Aquaculture Utilization Team.

Roberta Simpson-Dolbeare

Roberta farms with her husband Eric and son-in-law Drew Simonsen. She also owns a small retail store called Brookside Marketplace. Roberta holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communications from Iowa State University and is a graduate of the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Foundation. Roberta currently serves as the chair of the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soybeans in Human Health (WISHH), a position she has held since 2016. She serves on the Pike and Calhoun County Farm Bureaus, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and is a past chair of local school and hospital boards. Roberta and Eric have two children and four grandchildren.

Reggie Strickland

Mount Olive, North Carolina

Reggie farms with his wife Laura, their daughter Savannah, and their father Garrett. Their diversified farm produces soybeans, corn, turkey, pickles, sweet potatoes, and oven-cured tobacco. A seventh-generation farmer, Reggie holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management from North Carolina State University and worked seasonally for the university’s Agribusiness Management Department for 10 years before turning to full-time farming. In addition to their daughter, he and Laura have a son, Grayson.

Scott Sinner

BOARD DIRECTOR – U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORT COUNCIL

SB&B Foods
Fargo, North Dakota

Scott is a Partner/Owner and Sourcing Manager for SB&B Foods, LLC. He manages over 75,000 acres of contract soybean production in the Upper Midwest, focusing on North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Scott also manages SB&B’s proprietary genetics program and supports the company’s food soybean sales team. He joined SB&B Foods in 2003. Scott serves on the Agriculture Action Team of the Specialty Soybean & Grains Alliance and previously served on the Organic Advisory Council of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. He represents SB&B on the board of directors of the Sinner Bresnahan Healthy Kids Initiative, volunteers with the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and is currently the board president of the Moorhead Country Club. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. Scott lives in Fargo, North Dakota with his wife, Stephanie. In his spare time, Scott enjoys golfing, traveling, watching movies, and is a sports enthusiast.
