Between September 8 and 11, 2025, representatives from the aquaculture industry and government officials from Algeria and Tunisia, guided by USSEC, conducted important visits to Turkiye. The program examined facilities that cultivate both marine and freshwater fish.
The delegation, organized to closely observe the current status and recent developments in the Turkish aquaculture sector, had the opportunity to visit Kılıç’s sea bream and sea bass farms, Özpekler Aquaculture’s feed mill and fish processing facilities, and Akvatek’s hatchery facilities. The foreign representatives expressed their appreciation for the facilities’ high standards, stating that they had not encountered such meticulous and beautiful facilities in other countries and that the visit was very productive for them.
During the visits, the managers and employees of the companies that opened their doors to the visiting delegation stood out with their transparent information sharing and hospitality.
