The course, “The Role of US Sustainable Soy in Livestock and Aquaculture Nutrition and Feed Production” will be held in Spain and aims to provide participants with a four-day interactive and informative experience. The course will start on April 1, 2025 and end on April 5, 2025.
The event will feature classroom sessions focusing on key issues related to the role of US sustainable soy in livestock and aquaculture nutrition and feed production processes. These interactive sessions aim to enhance learning and encourage collaboration among participants by providing participants with lectures, discussions and hands-on activities.
Following the classroom session, participants will visit different feed mills for one to two and a half days. This practical session will provide an opportunity to see how sustainable soy is integrated into feed production processes, and participants will interact with industry professionals and observe real-world applications.
The course will also examine current market trends in sustainable soy and livestock production and discuss the impact of these trends on the industry. The program aims to foster collaboration between academia and industry, supporting projects exploring how to use sustainable soy in innovative ways in livestock and aquaculture nutrition.
The event provides participants with the opportunity to meet professionals from different disciplines and build valuable collaborations. Participants will leave with the tools and knowledge to apply the practical knowledge they learn in their own organizations or communities, contributing to sustainability in food systems.
The course aims to prepare participants to engage in discussions and influence standards in support of sustainable livestock policies. This comprehensive approach aims to prepare the course to develop the next generation of experts and researchers as leaders in a shift toward more sustainable livestock and aquaculture nutrition practices through the use of U.S. soy products.
